Game Analysis - 45 minutes
Van Perlo’s Endgame Tactics - 30 minutes
After a delayed flight last night, I ended up just barely missing my connection to Porto, leaving me stuck in Newark, New Jersey for the following 24 hours. Today I decided to make the most of it by first getting some game analysis in, before heading to New York City to visit for a few hours.
I have only been to NY briefly, many years ago, and hardly got a chance to sightsee. This time I got lunch with my friend and fellow streamer, Elaynah, before hanging out for a bit with my brother who happened to be staying in the city. We checked out the Marshall Chess Club, Chess Forum, and I even played a hustler in Washington Square park. The full experience! It was then time for me to head back to Newark Airport to catch the second flight to Porto.
Solution
1. Ne2! White gives up a pawn in order to transfer the knight to g3. From there White’s king will be much safer than its counterpart, as h4-h5 is coming soon.
Porto tomorrow (hopefully).
